The situation in schools is serious. Covid closures, the Ukrainian crisis, the pressures of the times and technological developments, and the shift of social life into the digital space are having negative impacts in the area of children's wellbeing and mental health. Children who do not have a supportive family environment and good relationships in and out of school are particularly at risk.

Ministerstvo školství v připravované novele školského zákona navrhuje mimo jiné zrušení podpůrného opatření další pedagogický pracovník. Tato změna se navíc v novele objevila nestandardně a nečekaně až po skončení připomínkového řízení bez jakékoliv odborné diskuze. Jeví se tak jako další snaha šetřit na podpoře vzdělávání těch nejzranitelnějších dětí.
